Engineering drawings in Carbide Create

Every so often we get questions on how to go about this in Carbide Create — here’s a recent request:

In Carbide Create start by making a stock size suited to the part, setting the zero to the center (useful as a visual indication) and the grid size to a number which matches the dimensions:

Draw in a series of circles centered on the stock which match the diameters which will be needed:

Then begin drawing in the circles, centered on the appropriate points:

Some circles will need to be rotated around the center so as to bring them into position:

Thus:

Repeat that for each circle, rotating it into the appropriate position.
