Hey fellas… just an update on my issues. Nothing was loose on the machine. Adding in custom values fixed the issue with the unit not going all the way to the left. The dragging of the bit was caused by having the work surface too high up. The manufacturers specs indicate that the machine will work with a height of 3" or less. The machine was freaking out when I had the top of the work surface at 2.5" or more. I lowered the work surface and it’s cutting perfectly.
I had made my own table base which sits on top of the manufacturers MDF. I drilled and installed threaded inserts in this surface. I didn’t trust myself, or the unit, enough to drill directly in top the MDF. I’m now feeling that was a mistake as I lost .75" of Z travel. I am going to take that off and drill all the holes in the MDF instead.
