Magnetic Socket Set Organizer!

Do you ever get tired of your sockets getting mixed up every time you open your tool box drawer???

I did so I made this organizer that keeps them organized in a minimum amount of space. It also allows me to see the size of every socket without having to pull it out and read the label. I can shake it or turn it upside down and the tools don’t fall out.

I used my Shapeoko3 XXL to make this one but you can make one with or without a CNC router.

To make one, just trace your tools onto a piece of 1/2" plywood then cut the shapes out using a jig saw or a scroll saw. To make it with a CNC, take a picture of the tracing and convert it to a vector file. Make sure your camera doesn’t skew the image too much. I glued a 1/16" thick piece of plastic behind the plywood and installed magnets using CA clue and activator to hold everything in place. Add a label for each size so you don’t have to guess what you are pulling out each time.
