Thought I might need a informal bow tie. This is made out of cherry with Maple polka dots. next will be a formal bow tie.

Will you wear it to go out?
That is the plan. This was a test run and will be remade in purple heart with yellow heart Pokka dots.
The formal one will be made out of a black Ebony wood.
Are the dots of maple inlaid? Care to share your process?

Thank you. They are inlaid. I cut all the maple pegs and then when my cherry was still square I pocketed out the dots to a depth I knew was below the lowest point of my finished model.
