Missing DLL file

I installed the Carbide Motion software twice, and get the “missing msvcp.dll” error when I try to run it.
I have found the DLL file, but what folder do I place it in to fix my problem?

Am I barking up the wrong tree? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

KB article on this:

Tried that, no luck.
Anyone else have a fix for this problem?

Contact support@carbide3d.com or try another machine?

Hi James,
We can help at support@carbide3d.com
Your computer specs will be helpful.

My suggestion;
Close all other applications.
Uninstall the Carbide Motion software.

RE-install the software and click “yes” and “allow” to all the prompts during installation.
This has never failed for me and I have installed CM on lots of machines.

It sounds like it did not load the c++ redistribution properly.
If you answer yes to install the c++ part it should work for you. If you choose no because you are worried about it messing up a development computer then it will probably give you that error.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone that tried to help. This is why I enjoy having a community of users to draw upon.

Secondly… I got it fixed!!! The problem was indeed with the c++ file… it was downloading and installing the wrong one… once I installed the (x86) version of C++, the program loaded properly.

Again, thank you all for the help!!!
