These Lightshot pics don’t open for me as often as they do.
Nice setup! I really enjoy seeing things like this as it gives me more ideas for how to setup my own. Never thought of using a fixed locline for air - always planning to attach to the carriage! Have thoughts about some sort of blast shield around the spindle mount to prevent the swarf from migrating upward onto the lead screws?
The air current is enough to create a stream that sucks in the fine particles. I’ve inspected the grease when I clean the machine, and there’s always only large chips in it. Two birds with one stone sort of situation.
I also have a large fan blowing across me and into the machine, generating even more air flow. It helps that I’m in a huge warehouse I suppose.
