Shapeoko 3 Fraying Z belt

I had some pretty severe Z axis problems so I did the normal pull-off-the-dewalt-and-tighten-everything-z routine that we all know and love. I noticed the Z belt is starting to fray on one edge which is not a good sign as the unit has only been in operation for 4 months or so. Anyone else seen this and/or found the root cause?

I’ve not had that (yet) thankfully, but I think it would point to the stepper pulley and/or guides not being coplanar. Is the belt rubbing on one edge of the cog more than another?
