Cut some .09" thick brass parts on the XL, and it did a great job. These are antique cabinet hardware, re-purposed as guitar tailpieces (to hold the strings). I cut the string holes and slots. Small 0.0625" 2-flute carbide EM, 10IPM, 0.035" pass depth, dial 4 on the DeWalt 611(whatever speed that is).
I’m really happy with this and gonna start trying more metal cutting on the machine. It’s gonna be perfect for this kind of stuff.
