Sometimes, a lot of effort and time goes into a complex CNC design, but it was not one of those times.
The wife asked if I could make a napkin holder, so I fired up Carbide Create, spend the absolute minimum amount of time (15min) to create the simplest design I could think of, then cut the pieces with the Shapeoko.
I cut and glued three layers of .9" oak, sanded, and applied a coat of mineral oil:
I’m glad I get to use my Shapeoko as a useful tool for doing simple things like these, in addition to being a great hobby by itself.
Cheers,
Julien
