Spindle coolant

Hi there

For those users who have water cooled spindles, what coolant are you using? I have heard there is anti-rust coolant that is more suitable than distilled water…

Distilled (or better yet, deionized) water should be just fine, honestly. The internal components are all designed for water cooling (assuming that’s the spec’d coolant from the MFG), so rust shouldn’t be an issue. Add a small amount of some mild disinfectant to the water to prevent algae and other flora from breeding and you’re good to go.
