How hard/easy is using the nomad 883 to engrave into leather. Like letters or what not into the leather.
My suggestion for that would be to use a drag knife and a vacuum table, and then finish tooling the leather in a traditional fashion.

I dont believe you can engrave leather, like wood, or metal. Only slice.
They do make Laser add on kits.
You can turn your Nomad into a laser engraver, for leather.
I was just talking an hour ago, about why no one is laser engraving pictures on humans, like they do leather.
I’ve been playing with the idea of a cnc tattoo shop.
Laser would be the safest place to start, but thats another thread. (And a million dollar idea for someone) 
Or a million dollar lawsuit. Gotta crack a few eggs…

I have an Emblaser laser unit and have done a couple of leather projects. An amazing machine. Definitely the right tool for that kind of job.
