Hey All,

Has anyone looked at Woodpeckers X-Mat system as an option for clamping?

I’m going to buy a set for my workshop, I’m wondering if a few extra mats would be interesting to mount in my XL?

It’s been discussed a bit in the past. From memory concerns were:

  • not enough clamping pressure
  • difficult to keep clean
  • expensive if one has a misadventure w/ a toolpath

I actually own an XMat system and have literally never used it, but from what I recall I don’t think I’d want to use it for CNC clamping.

Thanks, I kind of came to the same conclusion when I found some reviews.

I decided not to buy at all and will stick with bench dogs.
