Does anyone know of one? Seems silly to me that every time everyone buys a tool it has to be manually entered.
Came across this: http://camprocessor.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page — but it’s some general-purpose Oracle XML editor, Content Assembly Mechanism, not CAM as in computer aided manufacturing — so close.
We do have a list of .tps files for MeshCAM: Shapeoko CNC Router, Rigid, Accurate, Reliable, and Affordable (and oh, how I wish Carbide Create would load them).
That said, there is a script for it here:

Sorry for the delayed response in posting this.
The tools are defined in the LUA script file carbide-wizard.lua which is located in the $MeshCAMInstall$/scripts/carbide/ folder.
Edit the file, and you will see a section where you build a table of cutters with features. Mine now looks as follows:
--------------------------
--Initialize Cutters----
------…
So at least the MeshCAM folks have a solution.

Found a nice page on endmills while researching the above — added it as a reference to the wiki, but it (and I’m hoping the balance of the site) needs to be mined for material to add:
