2 sided coin set up

Using Carbide Create Pro to set up a 2-sided coin. I have the images for both sides laid out on my CC worktable with Heads and tails as separate layers. I’ve established the toolpaths for Heads, so far so good.

So, to flip machine this coin and cut the Tails side, do I create a separate file, or do I build out the toolpaths using the Tails layer in the same file? If the latter, how do I hide the Heads side in the Toolpath tab, so I only see the Tails side I need to build out?

A couple general tips:

  1. You can create a new “Toolpath Group” so that you can hide many toolpaths at a time. Combined with layers in the design workspace, this would allow you to easily switch between working on one side or the other.
  2. I think working in one file is better, because you can ensure the size and location relative to your origin is identical. This reduces the chance of errors down the road.
