The #201 end mill is listed as having 2 flutes on the Carbide 3D shop website, but it is 3 flutes according to the CC tools database, and the actual end mill is 3 flutes. This looks like it is just a typo on the shop web site (should be updated to 3 flutes).
The #205E end mill is also listed as having 2 flutes on the Carbide 3D shop website, and the CC tools database says it is 2 flutes, and also a couple of forum posts about the #205E end mill say it is 2 flutes. But, the #205E end mills I received a couple of weeks ago appear to be 3 flutes (if I am counting flutes right - I am not a tooling expert). See picture below, the #205E is on the left, a #201 is on the right. The #205E does have the longer 1 inch cutting length, so it’s not swapped with a #201, and both #205E included with the order were the same.
Was the #205E changed to 3 flute since it was originally announced, or is the description/tool database incorrect? Am I counting the flutes wrong (I expected to be able to count the cutting surfaces on the tip)?
