3D preview material

Hello all,
I am running Carbide Create Pro build 778. I was wondering if when doing a 3d preview of the model(s) if there is a way to change the preview material. Mine is a red wood texture which for me makes seeing the details very difficult. I know that under the tool path simulation you can choose a material there, but I am not finding a way to change it on the 3d model view.

Windows 11 Pro
Carbide Create build 778

Thank you in advanced

Yes, switch to the Toolpath pane, select a material there, then switch back.

Thank you for the quick reply, So I need tto create a tool path in order to change the preview material and then switch back to the model tab ?

Okay that worked, it does seem out of order to me but hey stranger things happen all the time.

In 3d previews some of the material choices are just not good. The redwood default is terrible. They hide 3d preview and make it hard to tell what you are going to get. On the 2d simulations I use the aluminum for the same reason that some of the material choices obscure your view. If I need to send a preview to someone I am making something for I use the aluminum even though I will be cutting wood. The preview in Carbide Motion is pretty good to see what is going to happen but you have to have CM hooked up to your machine to see the preview.

You should be able to get a similar wireframe toolpath preview in Carbide Create as is used in Carbide Motion — just hide the material.
