3d printing clamps, etc

One more note. Carbide 3D does have a 3D print library here:

I started printing about 2018(?) with a freebie half-assembled delta kit. Scored a used 50 dollar Anycubic bed slinger and then a larger format one of those and a couple resin printers. I wound up buying my first real one with a Creality Ender 5 Plus, since I knew I needed large jigs and fixtures for my woodshop, and the print area is 370x370x400. It’s been heavily overhauled and modded over time, partially because I wanted to increase its abilities, partially because I enjoy tinkering. That’s the one I still use for the same purpose, mostly using PETG. I bought my 10-year old stepson his own Ender 3 S1 Plus, which I will use if I want something other than that.

I do think that Prusa printers are simply superior machines, but they’ve never been in my budget. Their open-source philosophy, honesty, transparency and community support are unmatched.

I’m a little too security-conscious to jump on board with the closed-source Bambu cloud-connected lifestyle, though they are very plug and play with amazing capabilities.

If I had the money to burn on my ideal machine, it would probably be the Prusa XL with all the additional extruders/tool changing. For now, I will continue with my Klipperized, direct drive/Revo’d, networked Ender 5 Plus until I either get richer or can pay myself back with the better choice.
