5 pro I get the follow error and it tops out at the top if I run the cut with a high z. Just to see if it will cut.
I am using the center and the machine’s center. Because the wood is longer than 48.

Is machine center not the center of the cut area???
I found the left bottom corner and it works out.
I use left bottom corner most of the time, Iv’e received similar errors and usually due to me goofing up the setup dimensions in my early days.
The spindle is not centered on the gantry - it hangs off the front. So, whatever the travel limits of the gantry are, the cut area is offset to the front.
Thanks makes total sense.
Now the question is why is going back through the cuts a second time but travel the opposite direction of the 1st cut. Only one contour cut in the tool paths. 3/4 hickory plywood.
My understanding is that the travel through each portion of the cut and route of rapids between sections is so as to make an efficient use of time/travel/computer calculation.
