Has anyone figured out how to fix when saving a tool path and it only goes to 66%?
Which version of Carbide Create are you using?
Try disabling toolpaths until it finishes saving?
Export as an SVG and rebuild one toolpath at a time, saving after each?
If you arrive at a toolpath which won’t save, upload the file and a screengrab showing the specifics?
I did a flag on Saturday and it worked great I came back to do one on Tuesday same setting same everything and the Stars ran like crazy so I went in to check the settings they were the same as what I used on Saturday and then when I went to go save toolpath it’s stuck at 66% I’m in carbide create V7 I’ve deleted it reinstalled it I’ve even done the V8 version and it’s still sticks at 66%. One before the green bar would go all the way across to 100
In previous of CC that 66/67% happened a lot. They fixed it later versions. Since I dont have access to the internals of CC I suppose it might be a local memory problem. When the earlier versions did it it was usually a very large and complicated file. Hopefully you can recover your file but be sure you are on the latest version of CC. Personally I have not had the stalling at 66/67% for quite a while.
When dealing with large and/or complicated files it is a good practice to save often. Dont wait until you are done with all your design. Any program that is a good idea. I use LibreOffice, an open source program, for all my wood processing and it automatically backs files so you can recover them if something goes wrong. I have been using computers since the DOS days and luckily have not had a crash of my computer in quite a while. In the olden days I suffered with the blue screen of death in Windows a LOT… Using Windows 11 with all the current updates and things are pretty good. On top of saving your files often are you backing up your files? Computers break, get stolen or get smashed so back up to be able to restore if a disaster happens.
