Check in w/ the folks in support and we’ll have someone who is familiar w/ a VFD work through this with you.
I’d listen to Will, he’s like the C3D online support ringleader. He’s Not in charge of the circus, but I’d trust his wisdom. Err38 seems to be related to a speed fault. I’m assuming the spindle actually runs before you get the fault? Could be a loose wire at or inside a plug. Check your connections at the spindle and vfd. A pin might be loose, so give each wire a gentle tug to verify nothing is slipping out of the plug. It’s also a good idea to look inside the aviation plug at the spindle to see if there’s a loose pin in the motor. No need to remove any screws. Carbide will do their best to guarantee it’s fully functional without you tearing anything apart too much.
Not a ringleader — cheerleader/band-booster maybe — I am emphatically not in charge.
I try to help on support, and I kibbitz here and on other forums — every so often I manage to design and cut something for myself…
