I paused a program after a bit broke. It messed up the wood I was using, so I want to start over. I have been unable to get the machine to start from the beginning. It just keeps starting at the point it quit. I even load a new program but it goes to the place it has stopped. When I turn it all off and reactivate the machine, it gets to a bit change, and when I click “resume” it goes right back to the place it stopped. It does not go to the Bitsetter or allow me to JOG to it or to BitZero. Also, when I got to Settings, it does not allow me to select a Shapeoko Pro XXL. It goes directly to Shapeoko Pro and when I click ok, it moves to the Change Bit Screen and asks me to Resume.
Power everything down and reinitialize.
If you continue to have difficulties please send photos and the .c2d file and generated G-Code in to support@carbide3d.com and we’ll do our best to assist.
I have powered everything down multiple times with no change in the outcome. No matter what I do, it starts right back where it left off. The last time I tried at about 2 am this morning, it went to the homing location and hung up with the error that it could not find the limit switch. I have to take my son to the airport and will continue the troubleshooting when I get back home this afternoon. Thanks.

When I have an issue like that, I unplug the brick while the machine is on waiting for the power light to go completely out. Plug everything in and try again.
Since this is a digital control system, unplugging the logic board from the power supply so it truly stops and shuts down, therefore forced to restart, is reasonable.
But the power supply’s state is probably not important (capacitors drained, light out, etc).
Luckily one is a side-effect of the other… but the causality is probably different. Unimportant, but hey… pedant here
I will give that a try. Thanks.
I never thought of that. I will try that and see what happens, Thanks.
I unplugged everything and let it sit overnight. No lights anywhere. Still does the same thing. I am
getting a new X and Z limit switch today if FED-EX does better than their last delivery. Thanks again for the info.
