Additional collets for Pro 5 65mm Spindle

Hello all. Has anyone used collets other than stock with the 65mm Spindle ?

In the midst of drafting toolpaths for a guitar build I’ve found a few drilling or pocket cuts aren’t going to be possible with the stock 1/8", 1/4" or 3/8" ER16 collets. One big one is a 3/16" long reach bit is needed to drill certain through holes, but its only available in 3/16" shaft.

I did find MariTool’s 3/16" ER16 collet. Also found a post about using MariTool collets in the Carbide router. Anyone use them in the 65mm Spindle?

Yes, I have the MariTool 5/16”- 8mm collets with the collet nuts. I use then in the 65mm ER-11 spindle. They are excellent quality and work well.

I’ve also used AccuSize off of Amazon with good results.
