For outlining/contouring with a V-Bit – does the Advance V-Carve behave any differently than doing a Contour?
Yes.
The Advanced V carve will inset itself by the distance necessary while the Contour toolpath will afford the option of inside, No offset or Outside:
(but note that the offset will be by the diameter of the tool at the top, so to control that distance it will be necessary to make duplicates of the tool)
