So I followed the video Kevin posted on YouTube, “adding it blast to CNC”. I connected the air hose… and I’m getting nothing coming out at the nozzle! I’ve checked my line that I ran through the cable tray and there are no kinks. I did notice the gauge does not register any pressure, but when I bump the pressure relief switch at the bottom air releases so I assume air is going into the gauge. Is there another trick I’m unaware of to get this to work or some valve I am supposed to open? And Yes, I did have the compressor on and it had plenty of pressure.
This looks like a combined water trap / pressure regulator. If so, the top section is actually a ‘knob’ that turns to adjust the output pressure. It may also have a lock, and to unlock it you would either push it in or pull it out - depends on the specific model.
Lift (pull) the top knob straight up as mhotchin states above. You have the regulator set at zero pressure, the bottom drain valve is to drain water and is pressurized from the inlet supply.
As you turn the top knob in clockwise direction (standard convention) the gage will start to raise to the pressure you want.
You should have had instructions with the regulator when you purchased it. Simple adjustment, no worries.
That was it! As simple as pulling the knob up. I tried turning it, but had to pull the knob up to get it out of the lock position. Thank you!
