Tom, the “cyclone” is there to separate the larger particles from the dustier particles. The first things that are noticeable are that the vac’s filter lasts longer and that the vacuum’s bucket never gets full.
The only reason I’d exhaust outside is because the exhaust from the vacuum is relatively hot and makes my air conditioning work more.
Ok, I broke down and ordered the new sweepy V2 and the deep sweepy for the carbide spindle. After listening to the vacuum with the reducer on the sweepyV1 and the small cavity that is causing a lot of noise. have to go to the Bigbox store tonite so will grab some PVC
Sweepy v2 made a huge difference in sound levels. Since my CNC gets moved around, this is what I came up with. May not be the prettiest, but works great. (slinky is grounded) and so is the CNC.
