I am getting some funny tails on some letters (M N W )goes away when I go deeper but don’t always want to. Should I be using a 120 degree bit?
Post the file?
Does the preview match the actual cut?
No it doesn’t it seems to happen on any font where it goes into a sharp point like the inside ends of the capital m or w when I go deeper so the bit hits bother sides at once they are not noticable
Did you make sure that the included angle in the tool definition you are using in Carbide Create matches the actual angle of the v-bit you are using ? That and/or a problem in zeroing or stock flatness can lead to “funny tails” on sharp inside corners
