Best shop vac vacuums which one would you pick?

I finally broke down and bought a couple of 2.5" spiral ends from my local Woodcraft:

More options at:

I’m sure various other vendors (Rockler comes to mind) have similar, but there isn’t one local to me.

3D printers are great for making vac hose adapters - but short bits of 2" ABS pipe & fittings or central vac pipe, hacked plastic funnels & duct tape also work.

I was thinking about anti-static hose which I’m not sure would be compatible with these fittings but maybe this is ok. Thanks

There are carbon-infused 3D printing filaments which are intended to be conductive:

That’s pretty cool. Now I just need to move out of the dark ages with my (now broken) “70s” Makerbot 2X and get a new printer. Maybe after I sell a few CNC pieces.

I wrapped copper wire around all my hard line vacuum ducts and grounded it to the ground point on the Shapeoko 5. I also exposed the wire in the flexible vacuum hose and tied that in as well. While some static charge might be able to build up, it will fairly quickly get sent to ground.

Look at HD or Lowe’s for a “Fernco” (brand name) connector. They have several adapters that should get you close to couple the two together. I have one 5”x6” for the outlet from my Super Dust Deputy to 6” inlet of one of my dust collection systems.

I use 2.5” hose from the sweepy to the inlet of my 5 gallon bucket cyclone connected to the 12 gallon Stealthsonic.
