We have an official file sharing site:
and we have some official projects:
https://my.carbide3d.com/#Projects
and files frequently get posted as part of tutorials:
Given the number of support tickets for purchased files, my inclination is that it’s best folks draw up things on their own.
What sort of projects do you wish to make? How do you wish to approach them?
I agree with @WillAdams, if you have something in mind you can ask here and there’s a lot of folks that can help you with it. Plus this is a great way to learn.
CutRocket has a lot of projects. However when you open them be sure to save them in the CC v7 format. Many of the older files created with CC v6 and below have separate gcode and design files. So with some of the older files on CutRocket you have to do a little work to get them to work. Bu a little work is beneficial in your learning process.
There is no substitute for experience. That is very true about designing and machining on a Shapeoko. Copying others work only gets you so far and sooner or later you have to dive in and figure out what you want to do. Toe dipping on the CNC pool will get you just so far. Until you jump in and get your hair wet you are not going to progress very far. Nothing wrong with just getting your feet wet but sooner or later you just have to dive in. I would suggest sooner rather than later. You will learn a lot by just making mistakes and just trying. You can read all about here on the forum and watch youtube videos until your eyes bleed and you will get much more by just trying.
As Yoda from Star Wars says:
“Do or do not. There is no try.”
