Bit Runner V2 - Excessive Discconnects - & will not turn off router

Hello,
Just installed my bit runner after a year of not using it… lol I have noticed a dramatic uptick in disconnects after the installation, as well as the bitrunner has now stopped controlling the router where beforehand it would.

I was running a program, the machine disconnected from my computer I started things up again and loaded the same program that was working correctly before, but this second time around, the bit runner will no longer controll my router. I can freely turn the router on and off no matter the setting of the Bitrunner pendant.

Advice?

This is the time of the year that EMI - static rears its ugly head. Could that be the issue?

Would that cause the bitrunner to completely lose functionality? Ive made a few changes to try and fix EMI issues. (router on different circuit, etc…) so far so good on that front… But that doesnt solve the problem of the bit runner being enabled but not doing anything… hahah

Im currently cutting a program as if I dont have a bitrunner…(Manually) with everything from the bit cutter connected… See the pendant disabled but still cutting… Bit runner is acting as if It were an extension chord.

That I don’t know. I had issues with my Bitruner, had not grounded it per spec. Grounded it and no issues since. Don’t know if it was an anomaly or not.

We do offer a “Deluxe” version which offers additional grounding, but really it shouldn’t be necessary.

Fair enough. What grounding did you have to correct? I have the ground wire connected to the Z+ z axis and the banana plug plugged into the bitrunner?

The ground wire on mine is grounded to the frame of my XXLPRO. Also broke off that to the ground wire I have running to my ground rod. I have probably over done the grounding of my equipment, but here in Seattle I get static from walking across the vinyl flooring in the house in slippers. Shocking smooches with the wife. :grinning:

As per diagrams on this site I have “x” “y”and “z” all grounded. The dust collection, hose and motor are grounded separately.
