Bit zero probe size questions

I have questions about using Bit zero with a project that includes both 1/4" and 1/8" bits. Is it necessary to re-probe with the other size pin after you change out bits? Is this even possible once you start cutting?
I have all of my 1/4" cutting on the front end of the project, then change over to the 1/8" bit at the end. I’m not sure which pin to use to set my zero initially. Or if it even matters.

No, probing is done to the center/tip of the tool/probing pin — doesn’t matter.

Thanks WillAdams, thats what I thought. If that is the case, I guess I don’t understand why there are 2 different size pins.

Convenience of not being constrained to a particular collet.
