Bit Zero v2 moves when probing

When it probes for the corner it moves the bit zero ever so slightly but when precision matters this would create an inaccurate corner would it not? OR does it take movement into account? i cannot find the answer to this.

Your concern is correct — any movement of the unit will be reflected in where origin is set.

Usually one can drape the cord so that things stay put — if not, a bit of blue painter’s tape will hold things in place if need be.

Thanks for the quick reply, just to be sure we are on the same page the Bit zero moves not the workpiece. I can hold it each time and im fine with that, just trying to be on the correct path.

Do not reach into the machine’s working envelope when it is running.

Drape the cord or tape the BitZero in place or otherwise secure it.

I’ve noticed the same thing; I’ve ended up just manually zeroing things, which while it may be slightly less accurate, I couldn’t really trust what was happening with so much movement of the bitzero. Maybe painter’s tape over the back corner is the answer then.

I wonder if this parameter can be slowed down to avoid this. Assuming its maybe a gbrl setting that be tweaked? At first I was excited about it but now think it’s a flaw or overlooked as a problem

Even if it would probe the postive directions first it would maybe fix it, but they probabky worry about the user who forgets to stick the ground on
