Bitset button Oops

I apologize if similar questions have been posted. I recently (just now) left my router on when measuring a bit. The pic shows the result. Do you think this is superficial damage or do you think I will need a new button? I have heard it’s a real pain to replace. Thanks.

I have a small divot right in the middle of mine. So things happen. From the looks you should be good.

the uneven surface may introduce a subtle Z error depending on endmills geometry, but probably not large enough that you would need to care about it. If you want to “fix” it without having to unscrew the button, you can glue a cap on top of it to have an even surface to touchdown onto. But more simply, contact support@carbide3d.com and see what they can do for you, mistakes happen.
