BitSetter and BitZero Stopped Working

I have a Shapeoko 5 Pro that I took delivery of on 8-MAR-2024. Everything was working flawlessly until I turned the machine on yesterday. It appears as if the controller has lost connectivity with BitZero, BitSetter, and the green “C” logo on the front of the right Y axis rail. All the LEDs on these three devices are dark. Everything else (XYZ steppers and limit switches) seems to be working properly. The startup initialization routine runs fine. Carbide Connect is talking to the controller and all functions of “JOG” seem to be working properly.

I’ve cycled the machine’s power after unplugging and re-connected all the cables, as well as making sure all the wires are seated properly in the connectors. I’m not sure what else to do at this point. I can disable BitSetter in Carbide Connect so I’m not dead in the water, but it would be great to get this working again.

I did eMail tech support but was wondering if anyone had a suggestion as I’m guessing I won’t hear from C3D until at least Tuesday since this is a long holiday weekend.

EDIT: Its working. After reading Joel’s response (below), I went to check the wiring from the controller to the circuit board at the front of the machine. Lo and behold, the connector must have vibrated off (see attached photo of front circuit board). I plugged it back in and all is right with the world again.

BTW, contrary to my original thought that C3D tech support was off for the holiday weekend, they humbled me by responding less than three hours after I opened the incident. Now that’s how you do customer service!

Perhaps the wiring inside the Y-rail is pinched & grounding out - I had that happen with my ProXXL.

Hey @Chaotica Joel,

Your suggestion led me to the problem. I went to check the wiring for a short as you suggested and found that the connector must have vibrated loose from the front circuit board. Take a look at the photo on my edited OP.

Thanks!
