I haven’t used my CNC for the last 6 months. I haven’t changed anything or updated anything. I came to do a project and when I jogged and was zeroing the machine, it went to the bitsetter and never stopped going down even after the bit setter red light came on. I’ve tried numerous times and even downloaded the latest version of carbide motion and I get the same results.
Power up, connect to the machine, and go to Settings | Debug, then test the EDIT: BitSetter by pressing the button — does it signal as a Probe input?
Maybe I’m saying this incorrectly. The device that tells the machine the Z distance for the bit on the router is what’s not stopping the z downward direction till it bottoms out and starts chattering till I kill the power. It does seam like the downward Z motion goes kind of fast down.
I’ve edited my response.
Same test — if you power up, go to Settings | Debug and then press the BitSetter button what shows up under Active Inputs?
Nothing on Probe/Bitsetter acknowledged on the Input Pin State when I push the button. It turns red but nothing on the debug screen lights up.
I took the dust control cabinet appart to open up the area of the control box, blew everything out. It still didn’t work then disconnected connections and reconnected a few times then it work. Put everything back together and everything’s working fine. Thank You Very Much for all the help, you guys are outstanding.
