When running a job with multiple tools, it always seems i have a clamp in the way of the machine when it is doing a bitsetter run.
Is there a way to change the path the machine uses to get to bitsetter? For instance instead of going in a straight line, can i make it come Y all the way forward, then x over?
We will see what the developers think of this — usually though, it lifts up over clamps, could you post a photo of a setup showing a clamping arrangement which would interfere?
This isnt the exact piece, but should give the idea. in this picture, i calmped on the back, and sides. the other i needed a clamp along the front as well.
I have the HDZ on order which should give me more head room. As well as the crush it clamp set, so i wont always have to clamp from the top. in this instance i was tooling a 2 inch thick piece, with clamps on top.
Those clamps are tall. I’ve never used them due to that. They work great in a lot of other applications though. The Essentials are low profile, cheap, and kind to a bit, if a bit hits them. May be the most cost effective option for you.
