Does the z axis with a z plus still need to be calibrated similar to the belt stretch methods
even though it is screw driven
It shouldn’t — the lead and ball screws are precisely manufactured and not inclined to stretch as belts are — if you have a part come out so far off tolerance that that seems needful please contact support@carbide3d.com and we’ll sort this out with you.
