Carbide 3d going to release 4x8 Shapeoko?

@WillAdams or anyone at Shapeoko, can you even give us a hint if you’re working on a 4x8 machine lol? It’s all the rage these days. I’m about to order an altmill (have the shapeoko 5 4x4 currently), but would much rather stick with you guys. Seems like you might have to transition away from ball screws for the y axis, but I can live with that, so you’d get at least one sale :).

I know the chances of you giving anything away because of one person’s question is just above 0%, but never hurts to ask!

John

That is way above my paygrade.

Please ask the folks at sales@carbide3d.com

And share the answer! That’s a purchase I’d make as well.

Sounds like someone finally got to move into their new workshop space :- ). Congrats and I hope all is well.
I hope you know where to go when it’s time to sell your 4x4…

If you need to work 4x8 sheets routinely you really want a 5x10 machine.

Sorry for being slow lol… I will be selling it - what do you mean by “know where to go”?
