Carbide Create 758 Beta

We just posted a beta Create to Carbide Create Beta Downloads with the following changes:

  • (NEW) Main drawing window is now OpenGL for better performance.
  • (NEW) Disabled tool paths no longer calculate.
  • (NEW) Toolpaths being calculated should be cancelled if they are disabled.

These are all cool upgrades, but they have the potential to go very wrong if we added a bug in there. If you have some spare time, please download the beta and let us know in this thread if everything worked well for you.

@robgrz I am downloading right now. When are you going to fix the popup for the router speed that always says 24000? It is not major but less experienced people might change the speed and be going too fast when they really want 18000 RPM or whatever the tool was set for.

Rob,Just setting up for some etching and the simulation looks great, all else I have been doing appears to be fine.

I loaded the Beta and the first thing it did was made my Pro license expire. I thought it was perpetual but the old license said Subscription365. So I guess it was expired. Although it was still working in the latest CC released stable and that is why I thought it was perpetual. I bought a new license and installed it.

same experience here…holding for the next build…

Doesn’t seem to be the case on my Mac version. macOS 12.6.9 CCPro 758 Beta

For those watching, Gary and I went back and forth privately, and his license code had coincidentally expired in the past few days.

There does not appear to be a problem with Pro licenses and 758 (which is good, because we didn’t go near that part of the code).
