Carbide create 777 crashed

Hello,
I have a problem creating a sign,
I want to make a sign of a Buddha, but when I select the contour, carbide create crashes and I see the bug screen.

I have added the SVG file to this message, can anyone give me some advice or see what I am doing wrong?

I am a beginner from Holland.

This also happens on my PC and and 2e laptop (fresh install)

bugsplat

Ton,

I just tried it myself and I get the same bugsplat response.

When everything is selected in this file there are 26 objects:

but when one clicks and selects objects individually there are only 13 objects:

If one deletes the duplicates, the problem remains.

Reviewing the file now.

Hello Ron,

thanks for checking, do you also know what goes wrong?

Hopefully someone knows.

I see that William also has replays with the solution,

Tomorrow I’m gonna try his advise

Thanks both :+1:

It still crashes when the duplicate geometry is removed, and even if the file is re-created by creating a pixel image and tracing to make new geometry.

Try deleting some of the smaller geometry:

but it still crashes.

However, other toolpaths do not crash — would it be an option to use an Advanced V carving toolpath?

An Advanced V carving around the perimeter w/o Pocket clearing does give a contour effect:

Attached as a v7 file.

I selected each curve separately, dragged them to the side & deleted them.
With only 1 copy of the 13 curves, I can contour cut everything with no crash.
