Carbide Create and Drag Knives

Is there a simple way to add the extra geometry for drag knife offsets starting with a design in Carbide Create? I’m aware of the DXF2gcode converter, but, dumb question, how to I get my Carbide Create design into the DXF format? And there seems to be a lot of fiddling about required with settings in that converter to get it to work with Carbide motion. I think there should be just a simple tool path option in Carbide Create to support the extra “squigglies” drag knives require.

My hope, if the above toolpath option never comes to fruition, is that there’s a workflow document already out there that explains what I have to do to get this running.

A long while ago, I added corner cuts by manually eding G-code — for some designs (with rounded corners) just ramping in seems sufficient.

I know you asked about Carbide create specifically, and for that I don’t know of a method. But in Aspire there is a drag knife widget and it has that functionality.

I have not tried this, but there is a free Donek Tools gcode post processor.
The download is an XLS ( eeeeekkkkk )

I’ll give that excel spreadsheet a try out and let you know how it goes.
