Carbide Create crashing after selecting tool

I am attempting to run a waste board surfacing file in v6(the file creator created it inversion six and recommended I downloaded and used version six for this) I added my servicing bit profile to my library and when I select it and go to hit OK and then view the estimate estimated time to complete the job it crashes immediately. When I try to run it in version eight the tool pads do not come up.

If it’s a V6 file, V8 will not open it properly. Load and save it in V7, and then you should be able to load it into V8.

Post a screengrab of the tool definition and toolpath parameters which cause the crash?

(using v8, earlier versions are no longer supported)

I cannot seem to find the way to do that on Mac OS

If you have a v6 file, download v7 from

https://carbide3d.com/downloads

and when installing it, rename the binary to differentiate it from v8.

Then open the v6 file in version 7 of Carbide Create, re-save it as a v7 file (I like to append _v7 at the end of the filename before the file extension) β€” it should then be possible to open the v7 version of the file in v8.

On my MacBook press keys command , shift, and 4 at the same time and hold down till the part is high lited . That will be saved to your screen. That file can be sent to the community.

Okay, so I saved it and opened it in v8 so it seems to be okay. However my surfacing file says it will take 1164 minutes, which is crazy. Attached are the bit parameters I have set up. What else can I do to speed this up? Is it a setting in Carbide Create that I am just not seeing?
