Carbide Create issue

I am wanting to try my hand at CNC and I am learning towards the shapeoko but wanted to try out the software first. Carbide create, I installed on a windows 10 (pro version). The software appears to load and run fine BUT none of the dropdown menus work. There is a value on the drop down but when I select it to try and see the other selections nothing. Can’t go with the machine if the software does not work.

Likely nothing wrong with the software…however, it is a different interface than some of the standard MS Office-type programs, so it’s a little counter-intuitive at times. Have you watched any of the Carbide tutorial videos? They’re VERY informative.

Yes I have and I know how a drop down menu works. They are not working

How are you trying to activate the drop-down menus? touch, stylus (if so, what sort), mouse, or trackpad?

Mouse on a USB cable

Which version of Carbide Create?

Try rebooting in Safe mode?

Could you send us a screen grab?

Do you have any utility programs which modify the behavior of your system?

Please try making a new admin user, then installing the program there and seeing if it will then function properly.

Version 464
Same in safe mode

No utilities that modify the system

Ok when I created a new user account now it works. I sure would like to have it on my normal account

Apparently you’ve got something set in the one account to cause this — perhaps some accessibility option?
