What is the difference in setting “Material” setting in “Job Setup”, and bit selection profile?
What does setting “Material” in the Job Setup menu accomplish?
Material selection in Job Setup is left-over from when Carbide Create would calculate feeds and speeds based on endmill diameter and # of flutes and selected material — it’s more a reminder/reference than anything else, though it will be used when uploading to Cutrocket last I checked.
