Hello everyone. I wanted to see if my problem was user specific. I just downloaded carbide create pro the trial version. I thought I would download it and test it out since it’s a lot cheaper then v carve pro. I mainly wanted it for the new feature rest machining however when I went to download the program and try it I do not have the option to duplicate tool-paths or rest machine. I’ve been using carbide for 2 years now so I would say I’m pretty capable but I must be missing something. It definitely installed the pro key on the software because now I have 3d modeling tab as well as engrave and drill which I didn’t have before. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks in advance !
Did you get the current version?
I previously had version 5. At the top it says build 530. Does that mean I have to download version 7 then put the license key in. I like v 5 that isn’t the pro because I can then export my g code in separate toolpaths then break the advanced v carve into 2 top paths.
Yes, for the features which you are missing you will need 743.
Pro will allow exporting to separate G-code files as you describe.
Gotchu. I hope it allows me to download v7 and do another free trial. Is it possible to still keep v5 on my computer if I end up not liking the v7 pro workflow ? I need to be able to break apart the advanced g codes so I can rezero in between bit changes. I don’t have a bit setter plus I like to do part one day and turn it off and come back the next.
