I think an option for a Hidden Line removal display in the Simulation would be good option.
I am testing some Advanced Vcarve on black/white artwork. I used the Trace option with on a BMP file which operated as expected. I used the Advanced Vcarve and then the Simulation for conformation.
I got faked out as to what I was going to get because the edges would not show unless I rotated the display so the light source would create the contract needed. Given the size of the stock 4.5" x 26" and the feature are thin (0.05 and less ) you are zooming in tight and it loses resolution.
I believe there is a Hidden Line Removal within OpenGL 2.1 . I think there is an option for displaying back facing edges or not. The display can lose rounds edges sometimes, but it would be a nice option.
Note: This is different from Hidden Line generation which “draws” polyline segment used in CAD drawing production.
