Carbide Create Update Removed Alt shortcuts

So I noticed after I installed the 307 update that the alt shortcut in the text generator is gone. I have used this on multiple occasions to create a symbol or another unique character on the fly. Is there anyway we could get that back in on the next update?

You can still make it work (sort of) by using character map, copying and then pasting into the text box. Not as simple…or ideal, but still a work-around until it is fixed.

Check and see if utilities such as ALLCHARS (modeled on DEC’s COMPOSE.exe) still work?

Alternately, turn on the Windows soft keyboard and use it to enter special characters? (tested, it still works)
