Why can’t I save G-code in version 7? I’m making new changes to cut files and I can’t save the G code changes. I could do it in version 6.
As noted at:
https://carbide3d.com/blog/carbide-create-v7/
G-code is now held in the C2D file
So you won’t need to write out G-code as a .nc file if you are using Carbide Motion — just load the .c2d file into Carbide Motion and allow it to extract the G-code and send it to the machine.
If you don’t have a Carbide 3D machine so as to be able to use Carbide Motion you will need to either stay back on v6:
or get a Pro license, which does allow exporting G-code.
