Surfacing 24x30 Panel 1in Endmill 0.030 DoCut 0.500 Stepover 80IN /Min feed rate. Pocket tool path 0.00 in center of panel.
After cutting 6 passes all the way around the machine stopped and error message comes up Cutter not connected then connect to cutter . when you select the option to connect will say cutter not found, hit ok and get connect to cutter again then when selected get message initialize Machine, When you select this i get message Cutter did not respond.
If I power down the Machine and start again it homes fine reload the file and start over, It will run through the previous lines of g-code and make about 6 more complete passes, with most of the last pass showing connect to cutter. in the course of surfacing this panel this occurred a total of 6 times . the last pass went 90 percent of the way around showing connect to cutter, but finished the toolpaths and stopped.
I’m at a complete loss as to what is going on so any help will be appreciated. I ran several smaller files yesterday and this morning and didn’t have a problem.
After talking to the excellent customer service the next day was suggested to run an air cut, which I did without any problems
Then ran another surfacing toolpath and an acrylic sign both without problems, so have no clue as to what happened , except maybe the CNC Grinch’s came to visit. But it makes me wonder where the people are coming from giving the support system from Carbide 3D the bad vibes.
I’m very pleased with the quality of the support in all aspects including promptness, concern that you are having a problem, suggestions for a solution, and follow up after the fact. Also last and most important id that you don’t have to learn a Foreign Language to communicate.

Are you running dust collection on your machine?
I’ve seen people talking about static charge build up causing disconnects, but don’t know if that is possible in your case or not.
Not yet but that was one of the things Brandon asked about in our messaging
