Carbide Motion controller PWM 4.39 vdc not 5vdc

Good day, I cannot get 5 Volt at the PWM output , the board is ver 2.4e, I connected 2 wire pwm signal and gnd. I remove the solid state relay load so it got from 4.25 to 4.39v . I also measure the +5v pin just above the PWM pin and it give the same 4.39V (no load).
So it is not the PWM circuit at fault, but the +5v circuit. I set $30=1000 and i send M3S1000 to get full pwm output
Now my questions are

  • is this normal for the +5v circuit to give only 4.39vdc?
  • can it be adjust to get 5V?
  • But for LASER connection
I connected the pwm signal to my NEJE A40640 , the spec for the PWM input is
(3.3v - 12v) they say below 2v the laser is off and greater then 2.5v the laser is on.
    so 0% or 100%,
it is not a problem to close my solid state relay there is enough voltage for that and power my Makita.
so my question is the fact that the pwm output do not reach 5v , is it a problem for the LASER output max power?

I just find out that my multimeter was faulty, beginner mistake , shame on me, because Im not a beginner.

I think yes , I have 4.82 vdc on the board at the pwm pin for a max output with CM, so I guest it’s normal??
