Is anyone else having probelms with carbide motion not connetting to the table “cutter”

Every time I start the machine, and start up Carbide Motion, I have to unplug the USB cord and replug it. I think it’s a problem with windows, not Carbide Motion. I have a super-nerd IT friend I can ask about this issue. If he has any ideas, I’ll be sure to post them here.
One thing which some people have done in similar straights is to use a USB hub which has a switch which can be toggled to make / break the connection — should save a little wear and tear on the connector.
Standard troubleshooting thing to try is to uninstall, then reinstall the driver.
